Hey there everyone! Welcome back to another post from yours truly! If you are new here, Welcome! My name is Ryan Hebert. I am a Sophomore at DePaul University studying Theatre Arts and Political Science. This is my blog where I discuss topics such as Theatre, My Life, and Pokémon! If you have been here before, WELCOME! So glad to have you back! Without further ado, let's get started! I have been heading to the gym for 8 weeks now. I feel great, and I am looking great as well. I have some goals for the future. The main goal is to lose 30 more pounds by the end of the school year. I cannot wait to be back at school to continue this goal. When I head home today, I will not have access to the gym I have at school, but I will be doing my best to eat right and to keep my crunches going. When I started working out, I did 30 crunches and my abs were killing me. Yesterday, I completed 300 crunches, and still had some energy to do more. I also completed 3 miles today, in 45 minutes...

Hey, there everyone! Welcome back! For all of you who have been here before! For those of you who are new, Welcome! It is such a pleasure to have you here. My name is Ryan, and I am a student at DePaul University. I am currently studying Theatre Arts, and this is my blog! You may notice many Pugs on this blog, please enjoy them along with what I'm writing. They are complementary to different parts of the blog. Now without further ado, we're off! The time has finally come where I will be on the air again, or at least on the internet again! I have applied to be a DJ at the DePaul Radio station and I got accepted, so that means your boy Ryan is gonna be back to play music for all to hear! I am so excited to be given this opportunity for a few reasons. First, music is awesome, and I love it. Secondly, I did radio in high school for all four years I was in high school, so I really miss the opportunity to go into the studio and actually have a show! Third, The Bird's Nest...

Hey there everyone! My name is Ryan Hebert and this is my blog! If you have been here before, welcome back! It is such a pleasure to have you back here! If you're new here, WELCOME! You'll notice a stream of pugs on my blog as you're reading, this is to entertain those that might not want to read every single letter I put on this page, so enjoy if you're that type of person. If you do read every letter I write and enjoy the pugs, I'm so glad to hear that! Without further ado, let's get started! This past Saturday I had a number of wonderful beginnings for myself. I went to go see my first TTS show of the year this weekend. I got to see the romantic and saddening production of Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England . This production featured a fantastic ensemble of six actors. Each one of them should feel accomplished and proud of what they put on. I had various friends and community members speaking on the excellence of this show. It was definitely a sh...

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog! My name is Ryan Hebert, and I'm a Sophomore at DePaul University! For all of you coming here for the first time, welcome! I'm so glad to have you here today! If you've read my blog before, it is such a pleasure to have you back again! Without further ado, let's get started!!! For all of you who want to check in on me, I've been doing better lately. For all of you who are new, HERE is a link that explains what's going on.  Now if you've just read that or have already done so, here are a few reasons why things are going better. If you know me from when I was in high school, I was a radio DJ at WIQH for the four years I was at Concord Carlisle. Last year I took a break from Radio because they refused to accept my radio show idea. They were going for shows that played one type of genre of music and it did not fit my style. So I was recently inspired to re-apply at Radio DePaul, and I was sent an ecstatic ema...

What It's Like To Not Get Szechuan Sauce

Image
Hey everyone! Welcome back to another post from yours truly, Ryan Hebert! If you're new here, welcome! It is a pleasure to have you here. If I could offer you a drink or a snack, I would, but this is over the internet so that is not very possible. If you have been here before, welcome back! Always happy to have familiar faces and readers to my blog! Now without further ado, let's get started! I think I decided to write this post for a couple reasons. The first reason being I have just gone through I big change in my life, and the second being that I went to go get Szechuan Sauce at Mcdonalds and it was all gone. The big life event actually has to do with my girlfriend. Now my Ex-Girlfriend. I hate to say that phrase but it is the truth. A relationship that was going 2.5 years and strong recently ended. I won't go into much detail as this is more of a private matter, but I do want to share how I'm feeling at this current time. Break-ups are no fun . Tru...

SUMMERTIME SURPRISES!

HEY, everybody! I'm so glad you're back to read another post today! If you are new here, welcome! My name is Ryan Hebert. I am going to be a Sophomore at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. I am currently writing on July 4th, 2017, and I am so excited to fill all of you in on what has been going on in the last month or so since school has ended! Let's get started! Finals Week: Finals week was probably the worst part of the school year for me. It was not the tests, projects, or super long essays. I actually had a horrible case of Pneumonia that left me in a horrible state. I could not walk down the street. It was really bad. I am so thankful that Izzy, my beautiful girlfriend, was coming to visit and help me move out of my dorm. This was planned ahead of time and also happened to be a blessing for me. Izzy arrived on the Tuesday of that week. I went to the doctor the day before and they told me I had a Cold with flared Asthma symptoms. I was doubtful, but I was going ...

SPRING BRAKE YOOOO and A Pokemon Tournament (Set Included)

Hey, y'all! Welcome back to Acting in the Groove with your writer, Ryan B. Hebert, and gamer, Ryan (Pb) Hebert. For all of you who do not know me, I am a current freshman at DePaul University, studying at the fabulous, The Theatre School. Thanks for stopping by to do a little bit of reading today! Let's get started! It is now Sunday, which means that Spring Break is coming to a close and that I am 10 weeks away from Summer! AHHH! So much to do in such little time, am I right? I am so sad that my freshman year is coming to a close, but I am so excited at the same time.  Chicago has been amazing, and I love DePaul so much! I also cannot wait to meet the new freshman that come in next year as freshmen. My hope is that I can get back to doing some shows next year since I will not have my mandatory crew assignment anymore. (BTW the crew assignment could be a number of jobs for shows that are unpaid labor, it is what freshmen are most useful for).  I do have one more a...

A Transcendentalist Guide To Surviving Finals? (Not Really)

Image
Hello, everyone!!! Thanks for coming back again to read another blog post by yours truly. If you have never been here before, welcome! I am so happy to have you. Now without wasting any more time, let's do this! Reaching for my goals Finals week is finally here at DePaul University and that means a couple things. First of all, it is the week before Spring Break and there is nothing I want more than to get through the upcoming stretch of a week. While I count myself lucky since I only have one in-class final, that means I have projects and papers galore. These projects allow me to tap into my creative side and get really interested in some topic of choice. Ultimately, I thought of what to write and I felt overdue on writing a play because I have not spent much time playwriting this quarter. So like the dog on the right, I tried my best to test the waters and see what I could do. What I ended up with: The History of Institutionalized Grapes Yeah, I know, w...
