I'll be writing about a whole assortment of topics today, that have to do with my entire year. Get ready, cause a here we go! [Just a small note before we do get started ;  I had planned several posts throughout this year, and none of them made it too far past some rough drafts. However, I feel that now is a time to write something because I feel I'm in a place to do such a thing. I want to thank everyone who was reading and keeping up with me. I was reaching 250-300 views per post. I'm grateful for your time and energy to read what I post. Thank you. ] Where  to begin. I left you all in suspense with my show, Waiting For Godot, happening in early March. It was a success and was the experience of a lifetime. I loved my cast, and I didn't even know what this opportunity would bring me the fo...

Hey, everyone! Welcome back to my blog! My name is Ryan Hebert! It's a NEW YEAR , and I guess you could say a new me as well!!! Lots to talk about today so let us get right into it!  To give a slight warning to those of you who read this for personal matters and such, I am about to go on a lot of rants about my Pokémon success and career at the moment so if you don't want to read about that part of my life, you can go to the bottom. If not, sit back, relax, and enjoy the text.  First of all, I attempted the Pokemon Trading Card Game again today for the first time in 3 years. I once played the card game, semi-competitively, but I never kept up due to the high demand of buying SO many cards. When you start out and have nothing, you really have nothing. At this point in time, I've amassed a nice collection of cards known as "staples" that I am able to easily build decks with. I went 1-5 at the tournament today and I could not be happier. I went, and I di...

Hey there! Welcome to my blog! My name is Ryan Hebert. It's been a little while since I've posted on here, so welcome back everyone! If you are new here, WELCOME! I am so glad to have you here! I am a Sophomore at DePaul University, livin' it up in Chicago, IL.  I talk about what's going on in my life in regards to gaming and theatre, and occasionally something more personal. Now without further ado, let's get started! This year I celebrated Thanksgiving with my family in Massachusetts. It was a pretty great Thanksgiving. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was calm and inviting, and the Gingerbread house making was divine. Lots of candy and fun. I thoroughly enjoyed Thanksgiving this year. In past years it has been a little hectic or crazy, but this year, it was really nice. I also got a nice picture of myself. Check it out. Now while Thanksgiving was the reason why I went back home for a small period of time, I worked at Lindt back in Massachusetts....

Hey, y'all welcome back to another post from yours truly! I am so grateful for you to return once again to read up on what's going in my life. If you're new, welcome, my name is Ryan Hebert. I am a Sophomore at DePaul University, in Chicago, IL. I am studying to be a Theatre Arts Directing Major with either a Political Science Double Major or Minor. I am also a Pro-Pokemon Player looking to make the World Championships this year, or at the very least, attend a number of regional events! Without further ado, let's get started! (PS I love pugs) I spent my last month of the summer at Lindt Chocolate in Kittery, ME. I met a few characters while I was working there and I wanted to speak on each of them. I want to speak about them all because I went in, did my job, and left. For this part of my story, they were the ones that shine more brightly than myself. I first met Ron. How could I not meet him, since he was the store's main greeter. He was this very old man who...

I'm so happy that I made it through this first year, and I cannot wait for next year. For all of you out there who are going to college and reading this, BE EXCITED. College is soooo much fun! I probably had the best college experience I could have ever imagined having. Now some last things on college for freshman year: The last quarter has felt very different from the other ones. There is very li...

Where Am I Going

Hello friends! How are you? Thank you for coming back to my blog! For all of you who do not know me, my name is Ryan and it is a pleasure to be able to write for you today. Ryan B. Hebert (ME) as The Phantom of The Opera (2016) For all of you who do know me, I am alive, I swear to god, I am alive. I am now in my SECOND week of college, and I have to say, I am surviving quite nicely. Take a peek at a photo I took the other day on 9/11 University Hall in the mid afternoon on 9/11 I used a special filter to create the image, and I'm proud that I was able to take such a nice shot of the Quad, the area in the center of campus, and University Hall, the dorm in which I currently reside. I am loving my living arrangement. If you are a prospective college student, looking at DePaul as a serious option, then I recommend, University Hall, the the most social and inviting dorm on campus. Not to mention that there is a wide array of students that live in this dorm. From Business ma...

Adventure Is Out There (in Chicago)!

Welcome back! I have a life update for all you curious readers! In the most recent months before I graduated high school, I had to audition for colleges, for next year. If you were wondering what major I'm going for, I'm going for theatre!!! And, if you're wondering what the school I decided to go to, I chose to go blue, and go to DePaul University in Chicago! I'll be attending The Theatre School at DePaul University; a conservatory inside of a university. I'm ecstatic about attending in september, and I hope to keep writing blog posts while I'm there. To keep my sanity and to hopefully spread the word of what is to be a fantastic college experience. I chose to do a BA instead of a BFA during my initial application process. In the end I've decided to do a BFA at DePaul. Anyways, for the longest time,  I thought I was going to be doing a BA, so I applied to Boston College, The Juilliard School, New York University,  Sarah Lawrence College, University of ...
