School of Rock (What an Ironic Title hehe)

Welcome back everyone! I'm so glad you could join me here on Acting In The Groove today. My name is Ryan, and for those of you who do not know me, I am a nerd. Theatre nerd, super hero nerd, Pokemon nerd, all the nerds. Today I went to go see School of Rock (Youth Version) at the Ogunquit Playhouse!!! It was friggin amazing. Victor Tracey, Dewey Finn, good friend of mine, was perfect for the role. He possessed energy that was always bursting at the seams. He connected well with all of his other fellow castmates on stage. Emma Smith, a great friend of mine, played the role of Patty. An overbearing and abusive wife to Ned. She was committed to her character the entire show, and was just awesome. Her voice was fantastic as always! She actually just released her new Album, Compass! I am so excited to listen to it as well. What my plans are for summer, Walnut Hill School For The Arts

The school year is almost done and that means one thing, SUMMER TIME THEATRE! After spending last summer at a sleepover-camp that I thought had some drama programs to it, I decided to make sure that this summer I would definitely go somewhere where theatre is what we did. This summer, to make my theatre skills better than they already are, I am going to The Walnut Hills School For The Arts Theatre Program . As from what I have heard the program is phenomenal and that it is a perfect place to learn more theatre technique. I hope to become a better actor by going here, and I know that I will. Just a few days ago I was admitted to go to this program. There is a bit of an application progress, but the Associate Artistic Director Mike Bucco , helped me through the whole process and was very patient to receive my audition videos for the application.
